No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless. There's too much work to do! -- Dorothy Day

Saturday, Sept. 01, 2001, 10:37 p.m., yum-char, night, lens5

Today at around 11:30 a.m.-ish went to a family yum-char at The Grand Harbour Restaurant (I think that's the name, icbw). The mood was jovial, which is excellent. The lunch went to about 1 p.m. which is even better. I think Carol and Eddie enjoyed themselves. I enjoyed their company. Not that I talked with them much.

Zac was real cool. I'll admit to being extremely distractable though. Sorry.

I could go on about the food. But there was nothing really special, except for the typical fare. It weren't bad, but it was nothing to gush over. Enthuse, yes. Gush, no.

I love deep fried squid. My favourite dish, accompanied with chili. Shu mai. Prawn dumplings. Spring rolls. Uh, what else. I don't know their names, but the dishes was delish =)

One thing I do dislike about driving after the rain. Worms come out and slither. I like worms. Their pinky flesh, the way they crawl their way along the ground. Across the driveway.

It distresses me to think that I might have accidentally squished half of it's body.

It ain't only that. I seen a small slug too. Now, I'm not a fan of slugs. But they look so much like slender worms in the dark night.

I'm getting reconciled to my contacts. They still itch my eyes, I'm being accustomed to my disorientation. I have also discovered a modicum of vanity. Two people said I look better-different without my specs. My eyes still feel the relief when the contacts come off. I could become addicted to the feeling of relief.
