No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless. There's too much work to do! -- Dorothy Day

Saturday, Feb. 07, 2009, 11:22 a.m., Happy Earth Ox Year
Welcome to the New Year. It's an Earth Ox y'know. It's starting out ratherly shockingly for people around me. There's a proposed restructuring at work. My colleagues' jobs are on the line. Another colleague's family dog was run over and killed. I wasn't able to get to visit my parents for New Year. My overseas friend's workplace is under restructuring too, it sounds like. There's a family feud going around me. In the past year of my dilatory updates, I did find another site to write on. But that site closed down recently so here I am writing to myself again. Updates: I'm still happily married. I'm house hunting, determinedly. I'm broody, quietly. I miss my nephew and niece who are living overseas with their parents. Philosophically. I'm co-owner of a Wii Fit machine and I'm in raptures about it. Or was. The novelty may be wearing thin. I'm lack lustre in becoming an ace young writer. Our library of dvds and electronic games is building up. A limerick to commerate a once-in-a-decade event:
